Persian Cats have been a favorite of cat lover’s for a very long time. It isn’t any wonder, considering how beautiful these particular felines really are. Cat lovers covet Persians not only for their beauty, but also for their show abilities, as well as for their pet qualities.
It is believed that these unique cats originate from what we know as Persian countries, such as Turkey and Iran, which once was called Persia, as well as countries that surround Turkey and Iran. It is further believed that Persian’s, or close ancestors of the Persian have been around as far back as the 16th century, because it was during this time period that these long haired cats first made an appearance in Europe.
These cats are good with children and other pets, but of course one must realize that each and every cat, regardless of their breed, has his own personality – and depending on how he has been raised, that personality may not be as sweet as one would like. Therefore, use caution when introducing a Persian Cat into a household where children or other pets already exist.
